Pros

With a large firm you do have individuals specializing in each area and it is nice to leverage specialized experience. Also with a variety of office locations you are able to switch locations if needed.

Cons

Easy to be looked over within the massive network of employees. Strict handbook and policies

Thank you for sharing your feedback and perspective. We’re glad you found value in the depth of expertise across the company and the flexibility our different office locations can provide. We also appreciate your honest input about the experience of newer engineers. Helping EITs and young professionals feel supported, connected, and set up for growth is important to us, and your feedback reinforces the need to keep improving in that area. We wish you the best in your career moving forward.

Pros

Great benefits, You will most likely get paid more than the average engineering firm as far as marketing goes. Comp time for overhead employees is unique in this industry.

Cons

Lots of leadership changes in the Colorado office over the past few years. Because of this, there is a "make it or break it" kind of attitude in that region. As the only marketer in that office, there is little room for career growth or mentorship, unlike other regions of the company. Current leadership is very unwillingly to entertain outside opinions or perspectives. As a marketer, it was difficult to manage local expectations with corporate expectations and you are often told to "choose a side." This office takes "loyalty" very seriously and if you are seen as being on corporate's side or if they think you are sharing their operations with the corporate team, your job will be made very difficult. Women employees beware, your opinions will be minimized, regardless of experience or authority. Unless you're ready to "bend the knee" this is not the right place for you.
