Pros
* Great technology - Much of the technology is all self developed - Best process technology world wide * Great Talent * Solid benefits * Stable business * Recognized Name
Cons
* Lost touch with customer results - Focused on Wall Street Metrics over customer business results (You know, the people who buy what you make...???) * Follow GE business practices like a shadow - Not original any more * Too conservative so risk adverse it impedes growth * Weak Sales and Marketing front - Consumed so much with cost of sales they cannot reach customers * No bandwidth in Marketing * No vision - Only invest in mature technologies * Myopic - Only see things in the Honeywell world. * Not embracing entrepreneurial attitudes -they would like to be, tout the talk, but are process regimented and mute individual thinking. All goals and objectives have to follow word for word what management instructs. No latitude for individual responsibility. "Bill Gates would have been fired here in a week!" * Too many Ladder Climbers - Passion to drive business is lost. Leadership places unqualified leadership into unknown business sectors because they are politically connected. (Its the Allied way) Assumption? If they did good in one role they are good in another role. To drive any business you must have passion for that business.
