Used to be a good company - Anonymous employee HomeServe Employee Review

Unfortunately HomeServe used to be a place to be proud of working for, but over the years this place has gradually gone way off the mark. Progression is there but only for the people who are close to the management (and it’s nothing to do with how great your actual work is). You will be stretched to your limit both physically and mentally, with no real development in return for your efforts. Lots of people pretend they’re happy here, but watch how many actually leave within a short space of time. Instead of focusing on the core product range for customers they target vanity projects which bring no real value to the business, except to prove to the owners that they’re moving the business ‘forward’. Would I recommend working here? If you’d have asked me that a few years ago I would have said yes, but since Brookfield have taken ownership of the company I would say work here if you want a temporary role, because it won’t be ‘HomeServe’ for very long.
