Pros/Cons - Accounts Payable Specialist Holiday Builders Employee Review

Benefits cost extreme - find out cost in advance. Only brought home 55% of my paycheck. Department allowed 1 problem co- worker to control mood & work load for the entire department. New dept mgr-never knew what mood you would encounter- walked on eggshells - dept mgr needs to work on encouraging workers. No time off for or around Christmas. Overall department experience felt like unappreciated robot labor. Reprimanded for talking more than 5 minutes because 1 problem employee was not addressed while other departments were naturally allowed to have a normal employee to employee relationship. HR was no help with the problem employee or addressing dept concerns. No room for growth or advancement. More than usual turnover in this dept.
