Love this place - Instructor Hiruko Wellness Employee Review

Hiruko Wellness is simply one of the best places I have ever worked. I have met some of my best friends and mentors from working at the studio for 5 years. Their community is a safe place, diverse and exciting. I have learned a lot about teaching, martial arts, working with all types of children, and professionalism while working at HIruko.

Sometimes the classes are so big, that it takes a lot out of an instructor to run an energetic, engaging class for 45 minutes. But seeing 20+ smiles at the end makes it all worth it!

Hiruko is unique. The emphasis on wellness and strength and artistry and self defense is quite different from many other martial arts schools. There is a wonderful mix of ages and abilities. There is a strong sense of community. There is a deep respect for each student and each student to be able to learn at their own pace. For the upper belts there is a constant set of new challenges- both physical challenges and emotional challenges.

There are no downsides to the work.
