Pros
Hilti is a very unusual company for its industry (construction), in the sense that it has very well structured business processes, a great strategic mindset and a great priority given to HR development and corporate culture. For me, Hilti is a great school to learn direct sales and a great company to develop a holistic and global corporate career among smart colleagues.
Cons
While a career started in the Schaan headquarter can be a great initial learning experience, at some point any young executive is going to be tested with responsibility in the global subsidiaries (MOs). After working in several of these, I had the impression that as the distance from Schaan increases, all the nice processes start to break, and the culture begins to dilute and become quite more cutthroathish and merely focused on final numbers. The latest definition of their corporate culture sums it up well: “caring and performing”; it goes without saying that it is caring in the Schaan HQ and performing in the global subsidiaries (MOs)
