Pros
If you're a partner at a practice, you are given all kinds of freedom until you decide you no longer like it there.
Cons
*Overworked, understaffed, stressed out corporate staff *Company is all about revenue and increasing its share price, no regard for its support staff *Partners at the Hightower practices can get away with anything as long as they are generating a lot of revenue *Partners who decide to leave are held to ridiculously long noncompetes (plenty of lawsuits if you look them up) *Support staff is treated poorly, overworked and sometimes let go without a legitimate reason *HR at this company is a joke *Masquerading as an RIA, but it's mostly made up of advisors from Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch who left their prior firms for much higher payouts and less compliance, not to be true fiduciaries *If you are a CFP or an advisor who likes doing real financial planning, this is not the place for you
