Pros
Good training for new salespeople. You get to learn about multiple types of businesses and how they attract customers. The high level of activity will be a good resume builder. The product is essential for businesses to grow customer bases, so you always have a story to tell.
Cons
Too much emphasise on collecting of old bills. We are salespeople - not bill collectors. The changing advertising landscape is hurting 'old' media. They tend to treat their reps like children - in in the morning and back at the end of the day just to 'check in'. That worked in the 80's - not now.
