Pros

Beyond the company vehicle you sell your soul for, the remaining benefits are average for a large corporation.

Cons

This is an ego centric company from the top down (The new CEO is not much better). Hertz purchaced a profitable company (DTAG) and instead of learning anything chose to push it's dishonorable financial practices and CEO/Executive worship even further. Job cuts, Field Management incentive bonuses cut and some ambiguous bonus plan put in place that I think is based off the cycle of the tides. Unrealistic expectations put on field management with little to no support from the Regional level up. ALL Field Managers (counter, car wash, maintenance, etc.) get it from all sides. Upset customers with long lines, overbooked and aging fleet. Upper Management with unrealistic expectations and no clue. Then tired and frustrated field employees who blame all management for the lack of support and direction.

Pros

Great place to work in tandem with other professionals in your trade, always had a feeling of "family" working alongside my peers. We come together when times are tough, this is very rewarding,

Cons

The current economic and geopolitical spectrum have been proving a challenge to this industry as a whole, thankfully we are a resilient outfit with the best people at the helm.

Pros

It's a job in a bad economy. Decent vacation time but no money to go anywhere.

Cons

Favoritism, nepotism. We used to get profit sharing now it goes wherever it goes. New commission structure is bad.Dollar thrifty and hertz are all one yet hertz does all dollars work while they make the money and close whenever they want. Customers are always aggressive and rude.sick time is unrealistic. If you have any condition you have to get fmla and the company they use always refuse it. ,yet somehow the people that aren't sick are always on fmla.
