Difficult work environment with no redeeming qualities - Plant Engineer Hernon Manufacturing Employee Review

This company embodies the idea of continuous improvement. A custom "solution" provider, the variety of applications and markets we intersect makes every day exciting. Sometimes manufacturing is portrayed as old school but this company is basically a tech company or advanced manufacturing. Hernon has offered increasingly sophisticated solutions to its customers, and its incredible growth has allowed that "total solution" type approach to bleed into our internal pain points as well. The company is constantly reevaluating how competitive we are from logistics to benefits, and reorganizing and reallocating resources to make the greatest impact. The benefit of it being a small but growing business is that you have lots of opportunities to get involved in all kinds of different areas and build out an extremely diversified resume. I really do enjoy working here and the experience of coming in everyday.

There is a monthly birthday cake to celebrate peoples' birthdays and I am trying to watch my weight.

Most of the people are good but you can see how unhappy everyone is.

HR and GM running the company into the ground. Letting go of 20 plus year employees for no good reason and replacing them with lazy and unqualified people. The saddest part about all of this the owners of the company are letting them and not trying to right the wrong that has been done to at least two employees. They have always said to think of us a family. Well this family sucks and the HR and GM should be let go. They are terrible people and I dont know how the sleep at night.
