Pros

* Flexible and remote work * healthcare benefits * Track record of hiring great people *Great work/life balance

Cons

* High attrition from women of color, people of color, and minority groups at all levels. They either left or were let go. Questions have been asked about their departures, but the company's stance remains quite vague. * Poor, inexperienced leadership members have caused thrash and have contributed to a new culture of blame under the guise of accountability. 2 of 3 founders have no other work experience beyond Help Scout, and their decision making reflects that. * There is no way to make CEO happy. Micro management trickles from the top down. Now everyone has to "earn back trust" plus other abusive patterns * DEI is a buzzword. They publish a DEI report and hire an external consulting agency to help lead sessions for the company. The truth is obvious when you see how many people of color and minorities have left. * Lack of transparency and ownership in regards to the company's cultural problems. * HR will listen but is powerless, CEO ignores HR *

Pros

Honestly, if I could give it 4.5 stars, that would really be my rating. I like it here, but it's definitely not perfect. The people are pretty amazing. They're smart and kind and generally people I'd want to hang out with if we lived in the same place. But we don't, because we're 100% remote. And that's pretty awesome too. People love our product. It's nice to work for a company that people genuinely appreciate. We're definitely customer-focused, which is so much nicer than some of the companies I've worked for where they're just obsessed with the next enterprise deal. The work-life balance is solid here. Lots of parents and people who have lives outside of work. The opportunity for ownership is great. I'm the kind of person that likes to drive my own work and tinker with problems, and I get that here.

Cons

It's messy. I've been here a year and there's definitely a lot of whiplash from strategy changes. At times it's really hard to see where we're actually going, but things have felt a LOT better since the Fall, and I'm genuinely excited for what we're doing right now. There's a lot of turnover. Some teams just feel less stable than others.
