I like the people I worked with for a couple months, very nice people
Cons
no set schedule!
management knows nothing or is always very confusing
you get 3 breaks but it was never busy so it felt weird going on them
you will get a weird schedule different every week,
IDK how the seniority works here cause you could work there for 13 years and still not get a set schedule
All holidays except Easter are paid. Christmas and Thanksgiving have two days off.
Professional environment
Great opportunities for feedback from managers
Opens and closes at fairly reasonable times (8pm on weekdays, 7pm on weekends)
Opportunities for growth within the company
Union
Cons
Not all management is good and cares about their team/store
Those in skilled positions (like fruit cutter or trimmer in produce) can easily get stuck in their jobs
Schedules are currently being made by Logile with management input. It is a poor system and should never have been implemented. There are plenty of studies available about the negative impacts of using machine learning systems for making schedules for human beings.
While Heinens pays more than many, it is still not a living wage for full time employees.
