Pros

See places and somewhat on your own. Thinks our getting worse

Cons

No family time nor does management care. Raises you have to fight the office for. Won't pay when your off work and could be 1 day or could be 6 weeks. Everybody thinks they know everything and cam boss people around Company is losing business left and right and pushing installers harder and harder and adding more paperwork and more time consuming steps through the install without giving more time or more money.

Thank you for providing us with this feedback; we are very sorry that this has been your employment experience with us. As emphasized during the recruitment process, installer positions are very demanding and involve a lot of travel. We understand that such a position is not for everyone, which is why we do our best to be as transparent as possible regarding the nature of this position and recruit individuals who can handle these challenges. Typically, those who succeed as installers within our company display a high level of job satisfaction and view our above-market compensation as well worth the responsibility. We have achieved a very high employee retention rate throughout our company’s twelve years of continuous growth (founded in 2004); this is in part a result of our mission to unceasingly improve upon what we can provide for our employees, which includes: • A flexible vacation plan • Continuously reviewed pay structure (above market) • First class healthcare for the whole family • Above average 401 K matching plan • Career advancement opportunities (i.e. Team Leader) • Benchmark training program (includes classroom, facility training, onsite training) When you have concerns, please bring them to our attention; we have several employee engagement committees in place for this purpose. Since installers are usually in the field, our modern IT communication system allows you to stay connected and participate. Once again, this career path is not for everyone and requires a high level of flexibility. For this reason, we do our best to seek independent and solid technicians who take pride in their work. If you are a current employee, we hope that you reach out to discuss your concerns with management.

Pros

Good Experience for early in your career.

Cons

The company is run by HR and Accounting so 0 understanding of company structure or basic management skills. The management is very confident in themselves but I have no idea why. Constant turnover, constant fire fighting, and they are too terrified of making a mistake to make any significant decisions. When hiring people they would make job descriptions out of thin air. When I was there they were talking about an educational trainer position for Equipment installation? So someone from Academics? It was weird. Most likely you are being hired for in the fieldwork which keeps you distanced from the management which helps. They will say that the work is not always consistent and you will be expected to fly out last minute. This is just "Part of the job". That's all because they have 0 understanding of scheduling and management. The guys in the field are open and will fill you in on everything day 1. The field techs and some of the technical management are the real skilled people in the company but not appreciated. The office is just a bunch of glorified secretaries that aren't even good at that.
