Pros
A great group of people to work with, outside of the C-suite. The benefits and pension plan were excellent, but that was only to compensate for the shameless below market value of salary. Good place to network and begin a career in healthcare procurement/supply chain, although you can probably draw your own conclusions from the fact most people leave after a year or two. It's a stepping stone.
Cons
Where do I start? Management is inexperienced, archaic, petty, secretive, miserable and arrogant. Employees outside of senior management are deemed as less-than, and are not appreciated although they do all the leg work. The pay is terrible for the amount of work that is required. There is no training or development, and no opportunity for mobility. Camaraderie between coworkers is looked on with suspicion. Very sad place with very low morale. The organization is narrow-minded, and refuses to evolve and change with the times to meet the needs of employees. It's also worth noting they don't have an HR department, which is likely why they get away with how they treat and speak to their employees. Suggestions and concerns voiced by employees are met with backlash, and petty personal insults.
