Pros

Good positive people, Founders who have done this before, a great environment overall.

Cons

Severe lack of competent product management has crippled the company. Former head of product management lacked sufficient experience to be successful (it is a huge problem that senior management did not recognize this fact). Second, the customers do not know why they should buy. Third, their customers are not all that profitable due to high :-) taxes at the state level and so have limited resources for purchasing the product. Until the federal government allows cannabis companies access to the banking system Headset's future will be iffy.

Pros

The company has great culture and a great product. The brand is known and respected around the industry and its cool to be a part of a new and exciting market.

Cons

Cannabis is an emerging industry forming in real time. It's subjected to a lot of political ambiguity and market fluctuations and while Headset itself is in a solid position the market as a whole has a lot of question markets. Some days that is what makes it fun, but other days it causes stress for our business and the industry as a whole.

Cons

- Broken promises from management - Little to no career mobility - Toxic work culture Despite meeting goals, the executive team denied raises across the entire company for multiple years in a row. Multiple layoffs with no backfilling also put more work on everyone's plate. Essentially, be prepared for pay cuts due to inflation and no raises + more work every year as you get fewer members on the team. Disorganized vision - priorities are constantly changing, poor planning, roll-outs, little communication, and siloed teams. Bad decisions around the direction of the product roadmap lead to bloated engineering budgets. When those projects fail, workers get axed. Extremely political. People talk behind your back all the time and never take responsibility for their own failures, only concerned about personal upward mobility. Friends get promoted with less experience and receive more opportunities, like sales from outside their territories, for example. Your compensation structure will undoubtedly change at the drop of a dime and without any input. If you're in sales, your territories will change/get taken away, deals will get cherry-picked and given to the sales manager's favorite at the time. Seen it happen so many times. Be cautious about what you share with colleagues here. They are not to be trusted, despite pretending to be "cool" and "trustworthy" since they work in a "cool" industry. People talk, and it's no different here.
