Pros
2 days of training; 1 in salon, 1 in Richmond, Richmond training is hosted by a 3rd party (Learning Curve) who are passionate and invested in training. The travel was paid for I do not know if it still is. The in salon training supplied a consistent clientel for apprentices to practice on which was supervised.
Cons
Supervision during the in salon training was inconsistent especially when there are 6-7 apprentices practicsing meaning sometimes there was no supervision. The management would choose favourites among staff often comparing them to eachother in a negative format encougaging a toxic work enviroment. Whenever problems arose between apprentices they were deemed as "drama" and instead of being dealt with individually would target all the apprentices lowering team moral. Managment would choose favourites and give more training and attention to said favourites while either ignoring or being outright hostile to others, Because they were unable to fire apprentices due to having too many prevouse apprentices quitting they would instead bully apprentices out of their job. To put it bluntly it felt like a prom queen leading her flock in a professional environment.
