Pros
No significant pros except for being able to knock off on the dot as it seems to be the company's culture, which is quite appalling on a business perspective point of view.
Cons
Worst company ever worked for & encountered throughout my career path: 1) Traditional/Communist-Styled Management Staffs were often micro-managed under great scrutiny, and focusing on the nitty-gritty matters and wrong areas on business management that does not encourage business growth. No clear directions offered and no evident teamwork in the company. Everyone has their specific agendas to achieve; individuals acted only in their best interests instead of working together as a team to attain common group’s goals. 2) Poorly-Skilled IT Personnel An IT department is usually conceptualized as one of the key pillars in a company, but the IT person in this company lacked both technical troubleshooting skills and interpersonal skills. Minor IT issues such as resolving syncing issues on emails could not be rectified and people seemed to be living with such problems instead of finding solutions to improve the entire working condition. The IT staff is often impolite to co-workers and inefficient in his work unless the higher management is copied in emails. 3) Lack of basic working tools Emails are not functioning properly with office networks often down. Laptops issued were of inferior types which were not suitable for working purposes. Work productivity is often compromised, but again, no actions can be taken because it seems that people are working under fear more than trying-to-make-things-right for the company. Equipment/ technology were pretty laid back and outdated. 4) No Empathy to Staffs Witnessed staffs being let go without a proper explanation/ feedback appraisals or second chances extended due to performances issue. No open communication across divisions as well. There were many more thoughts but above points are the more critical ones to share with people who would like to have a short insight of the company.
