Pros
When I first started at HarvestROI, this was one of the most collaborative environments I'd ever worked in. I never felt I was the smartest person in the room – everyone had something profound and intelligent to contribute. Over time, that changed & a big part of it came, unfortunately, from leadership greed, focused with ramping MRR (many of us assume to be acquired). I eventually resigned. Today is actually my last day with the company. Why? there are no pros anymore. I've worked here 2 going on 3 years; and, I've never experienced such a stark contrast in ethics or morals from when I started to when I left like I have here.
Cons
Here, bright talent gets crushed by ego. Every one of the original 7 team members is gone, because, here, toxicity isn't a fluke – it is the culture. I was one of three original Sr. Solutions Engineers hired. The first Sr. SE was let go after taking a week of stress leave. The lack of humanity expressed by leadership around the nature of his relationship with work left him in a seriously negligent mental health state for months. The second Sr. SE was terminated a week before her planned resignation, following a hostile and unexplained takeover of her accounts. She had no offboarding, no technology access, and zero communication about her clients who were then left to reach out over LinkedIn in abject confusion about what happened to her. As for me? My access was shut off without warning. No exit interview, no proper offboarding, and only upon stripping me of my access was I told my earned bonus would be reduced without explanation. Together, the three of us had over 20 years of experience in this space. None of us have ever experienced such a level of egregious, inhumane treatment. ---- Benefits? Barely. Support? None. HarvestROI’s “benefits program” is laughable. There’s no real medical coverage—just a stipend I personally had to push to $750/month (only for myself, in NYC). The cheapest option available? A catastrophic ER-only plan. While leadership traveled freely and enjoyed flexibility, those of us on the ground were overwhelmed. One project manager was handling 10+ clients. At one point, I was the only Solutions Engineer at the company. Here, compensation is a mirage. Raises are rare, bonuses are unreliable (mine was delayed weeks and still unpaid as of this writing – by two weeks), and performance praise is virtually non-existent. The reward for excellence here is... burnout and silence. ---- HarvestROI operates like a pump-and-dump machine—a model that’s being whispered about across other HubSpot partners. If you care about your career, long-term growth, or even basic dignity in the workplace, look elsewhere. This place doesn't nurture talent. It drains it.
