Pros
My experience at Hartmann Young has been genuinely career-defining. Beyond the success and progression, what has stood out most is the encouragement to step outside of my comfort zone and build a profile within the industry. Through the support of the business, I've had the opportunity to become UK Sub-Chair for Women In Nutraceuticals, speak at international conferences, host industry events, grow my newsletter audience to thousands of subscribers, and launch my own podcast. Opportunities that, a few years ago, I wouldn't have imagined myself doing.
Over the last year, I've experienced some significant personal challenges and life changes, and throughout it all I've been met with kindness, understanding, flexibility and support. The leadership team have always backed me professionally whilst giving me the space to navigate important moments in my personal life.
The culture is ambitious and high-performing, but never at the expense of people. I've been trusted to build my market, develop meaningful industry relationships and create opportunities that have given me confidence not only as a recruiter, but as a professional. It's a business that genuinely wants its people to succeed and provides the platform to make that happen.
Cons
The expectations are high and success requires consistency, resilience and self-motivation. It isn't an environment for people looking to coast.
