Pros
You will learn a lot of people on the ground, there are a lot of good people who make the company move. It's a relaxed environment so no need for ties and button down shirts. The location is pretty good as well, lot's of places for lunch and happy hours afterwork and Friday. The building has a huge Duane Reade and you can definitely get your daily necessities and other items there as well.
Cons
I would say that there are a few good department heads who actually work well with employee's. I would advise that you work to the best of your ability and remain flexible as things will pop up. You should document everything, never leave anything to a conversation because it will be a mistake that could end up biting you. I would also say that you should not share anything personal with the department that sources new employee's. The head of the department has an unreal sense of entitlement and to say narcissistic is a complete understatement.
