Pros

Global Brand, Average Salary, encourage Innovation and promote for Patent and Paper filing.

Cons

No quality of Software work.Tug of war across the software development centres. Politics at its extreme.Even a movie cant have so dramatic turn that employers turned up on workplace as they don't have work to do. They have to do lots of boasting, leg pulling at the managers/ HR cabins instead of really putting quality work on their laptops. Clearly divide and rule policy to excel one self. Always in race, make others accomplishment as their success without contributing a single penny of effort.medical claim is only for senior level. it looks like junior are not expected to get sick. they cant be hospitalized to claim medical. So great in estimating the medical emergency for junior employers.Big package boasting but very less in hand. No tax saving flexibility at all .

Pros

Great experience, especially if just starting out in oil and gas industry. Lots of industry-leading equipment/tech/etc.

Cons

If you can't handle long hours, harsh conditions (at times), and being away from home for long periods of time, this job isn't for you. My experience at Halliburton was also that many people feel like they're just a number in that management will make frequent (and often sweeping) changes to processes, workflows, engineering schedules, etc. Lots of bureaucratic hoops to jump through in order to advance through the three levels of Field Engineer before you can "break out" and really make good money.
