They treat you like a person, not an employee. That's reflected in the benefits and how management approaches employees, no yelling and screaming about challenges, just collaboration and ideas. Halford Busby is a small business, it allows the management team to easily help everyone get acquainted with the overall job feel.

It's hard to write cons because I genuinely enjoy the company. You may have to work late/from home sometimes when the company needs you to, but that is balanced with the ability to work from home when YOU need to; its a fair trade.

Ability to work with outstanding architects, engineers, lawyers and builders on great construction projects in healthcare, government, education and multi-family residential throughout Texas. VP and Sr. Estimators are great people and extremely knowledgeable, just berated constantly by owner.

Team-work, company morale and professional growth hampered by constant foul language, ill-temper, insensitive and racial comments, unethical, petty, and vindictive behavior and utter selfishness demonstrated by its owner and leveled at it employees. This person encourages in-company fighting and works to undermine trust, cooperation and cohesion among staff, management and employees. Do to paranoia on demonstrated by the owner, employees are constantly back stabbing and spying on others with enticements of better pay and possible future promotions. Benefits are offered, but employees will suffer if PTO is used. Owner will be great and well mannered in your interview, but on your second day you'll see a difference. Job seekers beware, you do not want to work here! The experience and pay are not worth working in a hostile and toxic workplace.
