Pros
- Having access to books/merchandise before customers. - Benefits. - Paid Vacations, sick days, and holidays. - Coworkers (for the most part) are fun to be around, which makes the time go by faster. - Jeans/t-shirt dress code.
Cons
- Pay is very low. Good luck if you are a recent grad and have student loans. - Allergies/asthma/migraine problems are aggravated easily by dust/mold. (Severe headaches are a common occurrence at my store). - Scheduling. You honestly won't have much of a social life if you work here. - Standing for seven hours will take its toll on your feet/back. - Customers can be very impatient. - Too much is expected for the small amount given. (You will work like a dog, but will have very little to show for it).
