Pros
For me HT Associates has been a great place to be a recruiter. The management style really favors high performers with great latitude to do what they need to do without constant micromanagement. Yet the management is still always available to help you whenever you need it. My account manager will prepare my candidate for interview even at 5:30 in the morning if that works best for the candidate. The owner of the firm literally drove through a terrible snow storm just to prepare my candidate for interview and I placed the candidate. I'm really glad to have this kind of support. The tools and training have been especially valuable to me. They teach how to recruit at the highest level and also teach what your candidates do in their job which helps me to have better relationships with my candidates. I have many candidates tell me that I'm one of the few recruiters that really understand what they do...and that they've never received the kind of interview preparation that we provide.
Cons
The biggest problem is for low performers. For recruiters that just want to get by with the minimum they're better off at a place that will seriously micro manage them.
