Pros
Worked in the 10 East 40th Street, New York, NY office as a contract (consultant) employee for a year. Offered limitless opportunities for overtime, very competitive pay scale, and working environment (ie the people) were great to work with.
Cons
The workload was a little much sometimes (14+ hour days) especially in the beginning and end of the month when rates need to reset & agency deals pay-out. My portfolio consisted of about 75 Agency deals (MAINLY ADMIN AGENT, where HSBC was lead bank, but we had some deals where bank was Escrow, Collateral, & Custodial agent as well) as well as about 3-4 Project Finance deals that didn't have a home. This was 5 years ago, when the bank was still new to the PF game, I believe they have a department for PF now. Or at least a group.
