Pros

It was a very fun and creative job (until it wasn't due to forcing the use of AI in every step of story development), but the highlight of this journey was meeting some incredible people and entire creative processes with two amazing narrative designers I've had the opportunity to work with. The company had a lot of potential, but the more money it made, the worse it all became.

Cons

I mean, where to start... Ego-maniacal money hungry CEO, incompetent unsupportive narrative team lead, terrible organization and untransparent communication, overworked and underpayed people, AI torture, and cherry on top - sacking the entire narrative team and feeding all their work and ideas into AI to continue making money.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re truly sorry to hear that your time at HOLYWATER didn’t turn out the way we’d all hoped. We deeply value the work of our creative teams and the contributions of everyone who has helped bring our stories to life. Working side by side with talented people and building something together will always be at the heart of HOLYWATER. As we grow, there are bound to be some growing pains. We know the pace and changes don’t always feel smooth, but our goal has always been to create an environment where imagination and technology go hand in hand to open new doors for both creators and audiences. We’re grateful for your efforts during your time with us and wish you nothing but the best in your creative journey ahead. And thanks again for your feedback—it helps us keep raising the bar.

Pros

A perfect place for workaholics

Cons

I was living my life peacefully, completely forgetting about this company, and then—bam!—I get a response to my review. I read this AI-generated masterpiece and can’t help but laugh. The way they shamelessly churned out a response in that sugary nonsense style is something else. I also noticed a sudden flood of five-star ratings, even though no one had rated this company highly before. Makes me think someone either used AI again or rounded up current employees to sing its praises. But the funny part? Even these glowing reviews admit that overworking is inevitable. Now, to be fair, the company is great—if phrases like personal life, relationships, hobbies, friends make your eye twitch, and all you want in life is a career and endless work. Then you’ll love it! But this sudden outpouring of praise just proves that people do read reviews and steer clear of toxic workplaces. And it looks like someone’s getting nervous about having no one left to exploit soon. So, huge thanks to Glassdoor for helping protect people’s mental health! As for my opinion on Holy Water—it hasn’t changed: Run

Hi, this is Olena-Maria, PR & Communications Specialist at HOLYWATER. I'm the one responding to reviews on Glassdoor—not AI :) HOLYWATER is a large company with over 200 team members. We’re aware that there are negative reviews about the work experience, and we’re not here to sweep anything under the rug. Honest feedback is what helps us grow, and we do take it seriously. Your review, like every other one, is taken into account to help us improve our internal processes. We analyze all feedback to identify our weak points, improve them, and move forward. So really, thanks for sharing. At the same time, there are plenty of team members who enjoy being a part of HOLYWATER. Every review you see comes from real employees whose experiences may differ—and we always strive to improve that experience for everyone. We’ve recently started building our presence on career platforms and are actively encouraging our team to share honest feedback about their work experience. Anonymity is a core part of platforms like Glassdoor, and we fully respect that. We don’t track or interfere with reviews in any way. Every opinion matters — and honesty is important to us. Once again, appreciate you taking the time to write this. Wishing you all the best in your career, and if you ever want to share more insights, feel free to reach out to hr@holywater.tech — our HR team is always here for you.
