Pros

Compensation is fair for an entry-level position. Full-time employees accrue PTO.

Cons

No year-end bonuses. Travel expectations are misleading; job was posted with a 40% expectation but the reality is closer to 70%. Job was posted as a remote role, however local management requires employees to be in-office (unless you're senior leveled). The Cultural Resources department encourages overtime without pay and looks down on those unwilling to put in more work than they're being paid for. Management pretends to want to develop employees but prefers to neglect them and blame them for "under performance." Does not conduct regular performance reviews. Criticism offered is NEVER productive. No clear development path offered. Unsure if there exists the opportunity within Cultural Resources department to advance.

Pros

Fantastic teamwork. The Coastal Group is very close and highly collaborative. There is a lot of support from upper management in the Coastal Group. Lots of projects lined up.

Cons

PTO and Sick Leave are tied together.

Pros

Excellent work place environment, plenty of continuing education opportunities, and lots of intra-disciplinary events

Cons

Corporate woes will exist anywhere at large companies, nothing special about HDR.
