Pros
You'll have the ability to use your experience with other employers to plan and execute with this company. Middle to upper management are great guys, have been with the company for some time specifically in the apartment business. Small to midsize business feel. Good compensation with benefits. Expect large National Account agreements that have been there for years.
Cons
Coordination and communication and follow through from the National Account Team on the Apartment and Healthcare side is poor. If you can sign your own deals with your experience and then hand them off to this NAM team, do that. Area managers will be former maintenance guys and individuals with little to no sales experience. You will see a lot of people on the wrong bus and on the wrong seat on the bus. You'll see Salesforce here but one of the modules, key to sales, is not used. Instead expect to be tracked and report daily with additional reports. Rewards are in the form of money but there is no verbal recognition of wins, or big wins. Voice of the Customer is on the back end. Customers will be called by VOC with all consideration of issues going against sales. Technology is advancing but you'll be required to use the company provided equipment which is poor. Operations has problems but only geographic. This can mean 40% of your sales day spent solving inventory issues with customers.
