Pros

Job Security: HCL Tech provides a stable job, with the ability to move between accounts, without loosing your job in case of downsizing.

Cons

Stagnant Pay Growth: In three years, the salary increment was a mere ₹7,000 per month, and post-COVID, fixed pay was renegotiated, resulting in an actual decrease in real income. Dead-End Career Path: As a service-based company, HCL Tech offers limited career growth, with little upward mobility beyond switching accounts. Remote Location: The HCL office is in rural Karnataka, three hours from Bangalore proper, with poor connectivity and limited, subpar staying options. Ineffective HR Support: HR bombards employees with DEI spam emails but provides no meaningful support or resolution for workplace issues.

Pros

Data Center Exposure Free lunch in cafeteria at Mesa location Can have a lot of downtime Not aggressively tracking you on everything Job is not difficult

Cons

no free lunch for other locations in valley Pay could be better Only contracted to work with the data center company, HCLTech could potentially lose the contract not directly employed by data center company. No benefits if working through an agency, only paid holidays if direct HCL. Management is a bit scattered.
