Pros

Work/life balance (depending on client) Decent healthcare benefits Friendly managers Good entry level positions

Cons

Pay is very low Lack of career/skill growth No training prior to client placement No promotions or advancement Pretty easy to get a job here, but for a reason. Turn-over is high at a lot of client locations. The basic idea of HCL is, they recruit you and place you at a client location on day 1. From there it's sink or swim, on-boarding is done by another vendor, who usually has a full workload and no time to really train someone. To be successful, it's self learning and catching on quickly, as you'll be in production within 2 weeks. Clients can "terminate" you for any reason or whim and HCL doesn't reseat you (this has been the case from every person booted at my location). My advice, get a year of experience here then punch out for something better.

Some processes could be more organized as the company continues to grow. Communication between teams can sometimes be improved.

Pros

nothing, really, nothing appears to be functioning in this organization from onboarding over working, billing, offboarding

Cons

I have not been paid for my work after almost 90 days now. There is no formal explanation or refusal, but they are just sitting it out it appears, pocketing the money that has been paid on my behalf by the client.
