Pros

The pay, and that's only because they pay more than anyone else in the area.

Cons

Where do I begin? The place has been gradually going down hill ever since Mark Burns took over. After Flynn moved on its become increasingly apparent the only thing Gulfstream cares about are the customers, they've lost all value of the employees. Morale is non-existent, everyone that works anywhere near production is miserable. Management is a joke. You have directors that lead based on fear tactics, which only furthers the destruction of any morale left in the place. I don't know what they teach managers in all the leadership classes they're pushed through, but I personally worked for young NCO's in the military that did a far better job leading people, along with making sure everyone was taken care of over these spineless yes men. *DON'T ROCK THE BOAT* If you rock the boat, you will end up with a target on your back, ask me how I know. They may not have any means to fire you, but you can rest assured they will find a way to road block your career and put you in a hole where they can hide you, or they'll just wait till a layoff comes along and they toss you at the earliest convenience. I can't tell you how punishing it is to go to work 40+ hours a week and be constantly bombarded by negativity from everyone around you because of how miserable everyone is, and management does nothing about it. Basically Gulfstream acts like you should be grateful for having a job here, and that alone should be enough to keep you quite and be good little employee and just do what your told. Management at its core is why this place is continually going down hill. Its all about the customer, and management does a great job of reinforcing that. At the end of the day, you have a job at Gulfstream, so keep your mouth shut and get to work.

Pros

-Work in an air conditioned hangar! -All the tools and support needed to do the job -Excellent training available -Good safety culture -Fairly easy work -Lots of opportunities to grow

Cons

Big corporate politics at times. Some people just love to point fingers. Rules that are very excessive due to incompetence, instead of just firing morons.

Pros

Rather decent front loaded time off. 4 day work weeks. A pretty decent off shift incentive.

Cons

Management does not care about their people. They are so far removed from what’s going on on the floor and too focused on passing the buck to someone else for their screw ups. People are placed in positions they should not be in simply because they know someone or they kiss up to someone. The people on the floor have very little fixed wing experience yet act as if they know everything. The only path they create for people to move up is A&P and even then they just want you to stay a mechanic. They neglect to realize that people stay with a company for the culture as well as leave because of it.
