Pros
You get to work with dogs and away from people If you’re a trainer your life is MUCH better
Cons
Aside from extremely hot conditions in Florida, there’s so many things wrong with this place. First, their dogs aren’t trained, trained well at least. The yards are infested with worms. Little actual medical intervention is done. Constant deworming performed (can you say resistance?) instead of prevention. This is a backyard breeding facility. Inbreeding of siblings (allegedly, for legal reasons) Dogs constantly got into fights. Dogs are dirty all the time because they live in outdoor areas filled with dirt and the owner never wanted them washed because it “washes off all their oils”????? (allegedly, for legal reasons) Nothing is properly sanitized. Vaccines? Nah. The trainers were always favored even though they did the smallest amount of work. K9 care takers are treated like second class citizens even though they’re the back bone of the operation. I could go on. It’s honestly the worst I’ve ever worked for. To summarize; you do a lot of work to be treated poorly and make low wages. It’s an honorable mission that I wish was performed to standard but here we are.
