Management team gives you the opportunity to do your job without micromanaging you to death; however, you are expected to know how to do your job and expect you to set your own schedules to meet the finish dates. If you are accustomed to only doing what you are told, this is not the place for you. You are expected to take general directions and find out how to fulfill those directions.

G&E focuses on the real estate unit to the exclusion of all their other business units. The company is focused on its real estate brokers since this is the basic business of the company. Other business units are fast becoming the consistently profitable businesses and contribute to the bottom line year-in and year-out while the real estate business is a real roller coaster. If you thrive on getting constantly patted on the back, this is not the place for you. A high level of performance is expected from everyone, if you do not deliver to commitments, you will get attention but the pat will be a little lower and aimed at the door.
