Pros

You get to see celebrities, free entry to their nightclubs

Cons

Extremely long hours, compensation is not even close to being up to par with the amount of responsibilities they expect you to fulfill. Toxic culture of yelling at people when mistakes are made instead of coaching them to improve as a company. Corporate trainer Ciara is absolutely incompetent and extremely HOSTILE, doesn’t know how to talk to people, and demonstrates favoritism toward certain employees DO NOT WORK WITH HER. All their restaurants are failing because unless you’re a VIP Celebrity or have money, the service they provide is just OK, and they even make you wait 2+ sometimes for a table despite if you have a reservation. Do not work at this company unless it is your last choice, or unless you wanna work SIX DAYS A WEEK. There are thousands of better companies that will actually value you as a person first and then as an employee, and that actually care about the quality of the food they’re serving. Groot is extremely overrated and doomed.

Pros

The events and activations are genuinely exciting, working with high profile brands and being part of notable moments in Miami’s hospitality scene is a cool experience you won’t find everywhere.

Cons

Unfortunately the cons far outweigh the pros. There is no formal onboarding, no structure, and no clear path for growth, which explains why talented people consistently don’t last. Communication from leadership is poor and information is regularly withheld from the team, which directly impacts the quality of work. Leadership style is unpredictable and at times disrespectful, comments are made that are simply not appropriate for a professional environment and team members are often undermined. There is a desire to push for change but without the follow through or resources to actually support it. The team itself is incredibly talented but unfortunately the environment makes it nearly impossible to thrive. High turnover is not a coincidence here, it is a symptom of deeper leadership and structural issues that need to be addressed. Very political company
