Good location and has some interesting social activities.

Cons

Very toxic culture and manipulative management. So many people are being wrongly recruited and fired right before the end of their trial period. They make a lot of people move to Sweden to finally fire them and leave them in a very dramatic situation. Even if you join as a senior profile, nobody will trust you, you will have to justify everything you do and offer. They may ask you your opinion they don't care because they are 100% manipulative and always want you to only do what they want (even if you are an expert in your domain). The environment is very stressful and the company has very little knowledge about what they are doing, technically, and also the way they manage people. From outside the company, you may think work/life balance is taken very seriously but this is quite the opposite. There are only two fixed days of remote per week, you may receive messages all over the weekend, and if you don't reply within a few hours you may be blamed, etc. The founders want to have control over everything and leave no space for other people to do their work. My worst experience so far.

Thank you for your feedback. Greenely has been around for 10 years, and last couple of months, we’ve received a burst of negative reviews. We acknowledge that this may stem from the demotion of our former CTO and the subsequent reorganization, possibly influenced by his network. In response to these reviews, we wish to clarify our stance. The recent period has indeed been challenging and, upon reflection, we recognize that there might have been alternative approaches to our decision-making process. We acknowledge that the rapid pace and dynamic nature of our environment may not align with everyone's preferences. However, regarding the mentioned cultural concerns, we respectfully disagree. Our pride is deeply rooted in our consistently high employee satisfaction scores, monitored weekly via OfficeVibe, and our robust employee NPS developed over the years. The voluntary departure of only four employees in the last five years speaks volumes about our workplace environment. We scaled, and we did so quite quickly. We made a tough decision that our CTO for the next phase would need to have a different type of skillset where people management, engineering leadership, and recruitment were key for our next growth phase. Unfortunately, this led to us having to make a tough decision to offer our CTO at that time who had been with us for 5+ years, a position as a backend engineer instead, which he accepted, and despite our best efforts, did not meet expectations, resulting in significant dissatisfaction. We are, however, hopeful that he will find a fulfilling role elsewhere. We respectfully disagree with his description of the environment during his 5+ years at Greenely. We strive to maintain a respectful and appreciative environment. This included offering a comprehensive relocation package to Sweden, including visa sponsorship (not one time, but twice with all the associated costs), we offered him accommodation in the most popular places in Sweden (where he still resides) and we’ve compensated him well. His and another engineer's contributions were celebrated with a farewell gathering, completed with acknowledgments and tokens of appreciation, which they both seemed to enjoy. There has also been a reorganization in January that was made to help shape the organization for our future business needs which was very tough, but we formed a very generous compensation package which was accepted by all the people involved. While difficult decisions are sometimes necessary for the company's best interest, they may not always align with individual preferences. Either way, writing multiple negative reviews as soon as something positive appears is one way to showcase displeasure. Another way is to sit down with us and have an open dialog if there are things we could have done differently. We invite you to discuss any concerns directly with us. Our doors are always open. As a part of the core team, I have encountered the rigid structure of a traditional corporation which wanna be a startup and a minimal focus on employee well-being and cohesion. This is a place where rigidity, stagnation, and personal development are neglected rather than embraced. Inflexible Working Hours: Greenely's inflexible working hours constrain us to rigid schedules, disregarding individual needs and hindering work-life balance. Earlier it was work from home, now even if you are having a headache or some monthly issues, you need to come to office on workdays else take a sick leave. Definitely not expected from a startup, no trust whatsoever on employees. Isolation and Individualism: The absence of team-building events and activities fosters a sense of isolation among employees, making the workplace solely a site for individual tasks rather than collaborative growth and the leaders are not shy to put the failure of a project on you. Neglect of Culture and Well-being: It is evident that Greenely disregards its employees' well-being and work culture. The lack of investment in our well-being reflects in our disengagement and lack of motivation in our work. Limited Growth Opportunities: For the ambitious individual, Greenely provides limited opportunities for personal and professional growth. Initiative and commitment are often overlooked, leaving little room for advancement or new challenges. Corporate/ wannabe startup Environment: The slow-paced and stagnant environment of a corporation like Greenely stifles innovation and personal development. We navigate through bureaucratic hurdles alone, lacking the support system and sense of community found in a startup. Other cons: Writing or making people write fake 5 star reviews just shows the mindset of the company and immaturity of the leaders.
