Pros
A pro used to be the colleagues, but they get it wrong with the people they let go. Behaviors that used to be rewarded are overshadowed by strong personalities that don't even care about immigration. I personally feel it is a pro that case coordinators are exposed to challenging casework but we are definitely exploited due to the volume of immigration work in todays climate. The overall office is stunning and the lobby of the building has a rotating art exhibit, but the immigration pods are akin to shoeboxes and with no windows.
Cons
I used to enjoy doing work for the pod managers and even though they can be intense. What was once highly collaborative workplace has become fearful and checked out due to the ever deepening morale after repeated missteps from management. Toxic triangulation is a new hallmark of the culture.
