You are a contractor for the navy making 20-30k less than the government employees. You’ll be on the job with 6-7 other contractors all standing around doing nothing when the job really only requires 1-2 people. The systems engineering role could be filled by my 10 year old nephew. If you value working hard, learning more and challenging yourself, don’t work for the navy yard.
