Pros

Some Lovely People working in the company in Finance, IT and other areas.

Cons

One of the most unprofessional places I have ever been exposed to. Very toxic work environment. The CEO Sends an update everyone week with coloured red X's and green ticks based on if you met your goals from the previous week. He then grills each person publicly in front of everyone as to why they didn't meet these goals, creating a toxic environment of humiliation and fear among staff. Communication between CFO, CEO, managers and teams is spotty, inconsistent and there is no manners expected, hiding behind a honest feedback. You can be honest without being a bully or discriminatory. Expectation to work late every day without fail, no-one takes lunch breaks, you are expected to work through lunch. The only focus of this company is making money, acknowledging it is a start up, even start up's should care about their employees. Lastly, It should be noted it's mandatory for each current employee to post a 5 star review on Glassdoor (its on their goals for the week).

Hi there, I'm sorry to hear that you didn't have an overall good experience but I do appreciate that you enjoyed working with members of our team. I agree that they're lovely people. I'm sorry that you saw our culture and operations as unprofessional. It sounds like a number of our expectations were not clearly communicated. I'm sorry about that and we'll aim to do better. A couple of things to provide context on in response to your cons: 1. Our weekly messages and standups are intended to ensure that everyone is on the same page. We do this to keep our main priorities top of mind and to hold our team accountable for their promises. We've borrowed this structure from other top companies who aim to keep their organizations in synch. 2. We don't have a CFO - so I'm not sure if you're referring to. In any case, thank you for this feedback. We'll make sure to keep coordinating our messages across our leadership team. 3. It sounds like we didn't clearly communicate that we aim to provide feedback that is both actionable and aiming to assist. We take bullying and discrimination very seriously and have let team members go because they engaged in bullying and discrimination. 4. There is no expectation to work late or to work through lunches. Nor would a manager ever ask you to do this on a regular basis. There is, however, an expectation to meet performance expectations. We find that when our team is focused and prioritizes correctly, they can achieve their performance expectations during normal working hours. 5. Glassdoor is not part of any formal process of ours; however, we do fortunately have 40+ team members who have chosen to leave a positive review on their own accord. As I mentioned, I'm overall sorry that you didn't have a great experience. We'll take your feedback into account. And I wish you all the best on the next step of your journey.

Pros

I've been at startups where people operations are a nightmare but they have their processes fairly dialed-in. I didn't have to start from scratch. For adaptations I made, the team works at a fast-pace to adopt.

Cons

Fairly resource constrained, but that is typical of a start-up

Pros

The leadership team are incredible. I have excelled my career by 5 years in 1 year. GrantMe puts a lot of trust in me and I have never worked such an encouraging environment. The growth opportunities here are vast and as one of the core values at GrantMe is 'leaders creating leaders', these opportunities are presented to you from the minute you walk in the door. The CEO and COO founder has created a world class culture that drives the team to achieve their visions and goals (personal and career) all while having fun doing so. I have learned more about myself, my abilities and my potential in 12 months at GrantMe than the 10 years of work experience elsewhere. GrantMe achieves the unachievable, removes limiting beliefs, grows daily and has you loving every minute of it.

Cons

The biggest downside it that I did not join GrantMe sooner and only join this rocket ship 12 months ago.
