Pros

Good culture of involving all levels of employees. At times, were very appreciate of personal sacrafices. Willing to provide personal rewards for myself and my spouse as a direct result of the work I performed. I really enjoyed the dynamics of the office and the group I was a part of. Other groups were not as fortunate as my team was.

Cons

Compensation was lagging larger firm. Limited upside for promotion due to regionalization of firm. Going to a regionalized model didn't allow Minneapolis to grow and retain talent. The dififculty in selling as a low cost alternative to the Big 4 really limted the growth opportunities. Limited sharing in financial rewards, especially when the money was flowing during the SOX compliance days.

Pros

Some folks are great to work with. Some of the leaders really do care.

Cons

Workday practice is a total mess. They have trouble selling work and hours are much lower than they should be so consultants end up spread very thin across multiple projects and still can't hit utilization targets on paper even if they are working very hard in actuality. The independence requirements are insane!! If I had known I would have to disclose all of my investments and be told wha t I am or am not allowed to invest money in I would not have taken the job. Independence is total hell and most consulting firms don't subject employees to those invasive requirements.
