Pros

The pay is decent most of the time. There are certain rules in place that limit income. There's also a severe lack of growth once you hit the director level. You're basically stuck in that role.

Cons

A lot of hidden rules that you dont find out about until you start about how you're paid. Micromanagement from branch managers and above. Lack of remote flexibility due to CEO's real estate investments.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Granite Telecommunications. We value feedback from our employees, both past and present, as it helps us identify areas for improvement. We're glad to hear that you found the pay to be decent during your tenure. Compensation is an important aspect of employee satisfaction, and we strive to offer competitive packages. We acknowledge the concerns regarding income limitations and the perceived lack of growth beyond the director level. We are continually working on creating more growth opportunities and career advancement paths for our employees at all levels. We regret that you felt there were hidden rules regarding pay and that this information wasn't clearly communicated from the start. Transparency is crucial, and we are working on improving our onboarding process to ensure that all employees are fully aware of compensation structures and policies. Regarding micromanagement, we understand how it can impact employee morale and productivity. We are taking steps to empower our managers with better training to foster a more supportive and autonomous work environment. We recognize that remote work flexibility is an important factor for many employees. While our current policy is influenced by various factors, including the CEO's decisions, we are continuously evaluating our remote work policies to better meet the needs of our workforce. Your advice to reduce micromanagement and allow more flexibility in where work is performed is duly noted. We are committed to creating a work environment that prioritizes trust and results over rigid oversight. We appreciate your insights and will consider them in our ongoing efforts to improve. Thank you again for your feedback. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

No pros what so ever.

Cons

This company and specifically the collections department have very little opportunity for growth, despite what may be promised during the hiring process. Honestly, it’s a circus. Non stop tasks are thrown at employees each day. And Goals are constantly increased so analyst can’t reach them. Employees who work hard and consistently perform well often find themselves stuck in the same position with no clear path for advancement. Promotions and opportunities never appear to be based on performance or merit. Management is one of the biggest issues. They have no clue. Favoritism is prevalent, and certain employees seem to receive special treatment, better opportunities, and more support than others. This creates a frustrating and discouraging work environment where many employees feel undervalued and overlooked. Morale suffers when performance and dedication are overlooked in favor of personal relationships and when there is little accountability for management and no transparency regarding career development. Communication from leadership is lacking, and employee concerns are not addressed. Management gets defensive when employees ask questions or disagree with their stupid decisions. Overall, it can be a VERY challenging place to build a longterm career if you are looking for fair treatment, professional growth, and strong leadership. Turnover rate is very high. Also, micro management is at an all time high. Would not even recommend this place to a college grad for entry level experience, if i could Put 0 stars, i would. For the sake of your mental health, stay far away.
