Pros
In short, the people (this is not a BS answer, either). Granicus has so many wonderful team members who are willing to collaborate, help each other, and work towards company-wide success. The benefits are also great. I especially appreciate the flexibility on PTO and schedules (and even more so as a working parent). Mostly, though, I would say Granicus is a place where you can try new things. Especially in the last year in my role I've been given a lot of freedom to explore new paths to success, and I've learned so much along the way. I think the executive team is stellar - they're all experts in their field, accessible, and just generally nice and approachable people.
Cons
I've seen a lot of reviews here about how Granicus is owned by private equity and how there's so much change that things can get messy. Guess what? That's the deal with thriving tech companies. You either sink or swim, and I would definitely not recommend Granicus for anyone who can't handle a pivot in strategy or live in some ambiguity for awhile. I worked in a corporate environment before coming to Granicus and I can say I much prefer the challenges of growing pains than I do of stagnation. I will say that being across 4 primary offices - St. Paul, Denver, Washington DC and UK - can be very challenging at times. We do most of our meetings on webex and it can get in the way of feeling cohesive and on the same page. Over communication is key. Overall, Granicus is a place for drivers, accelerators, and change-makers. It can be tiring and frustrating, but fun as hell.
