Pros
fairly comparable health benefits but nothing outstanding. Employee profit sharing plan getting cut to minimum contributions as management cuts employee benefits in order to improve operating margins and impress Wall Street.
Cons
compensation plan crushes top performers and rewards poor performance (poor performers get lower goals and top performers get a majority of the district goal heaped on them). District Managers with little or no managerial experience put in charge of people's lives and goals (they have no real understanding of the markets or customer base) and are moved too frequently to gain any real insight into their employees capabilities or customer base. Upper management rules by fear and intimidation, no positive motivation. Mileage isn't reimbursed at anywhere near federal guidelines and account managers are forced to cover their own expenses...Human Resource Department serves mgt so little if anything is done to improve employee working conditions (though they put on a good show)
