Pros

1. Diverse Exposure to Legal Matters You’re likely to work on a wide range of cases — civil, corporate, litigation, contracts — which builds strong practical experience. 2. Client-Facing Opportunities Compared to larger firms, you may interact directly with clients, giving you real responsibility and improving your legal judgment early in your career. 3. Close-Knit Team Environment Smaller legal firms often foster a more collaborative and supportive work culture where your contributions are visible and valued. 4. Learning Under Experienced Seniors. You may have direct mentorship from partners or senior advocates, which helps with skill-building and confidence. 5. Opportunity to Take Ownership You can independently handle cases, conduct research, attend court proceedings, and manage documentation all of which build your portfolio. 6. Balanced Hierarchy Less rigid than big firms allowing space for your ideas, quicker growth, and recognition. 7. Stepping Stone for Career Growth A strong foundation at a firm like Gracious can open doors to senior roles or even setting up your own independent practice.

Cons

Night shifts can go a little hectic

Pros

CEO's outdated comments give you an involuntary stand-up comedy routine every day.

Cons

Gracious Legal Services – A Walking Red Flag Wrapped in a Paycheck Working here was like voluntarily stepping into a black hole of professionalism, ethics, and basic human decency. This place is a masterclass in what not to do as a company. Let’s start with the CEO, who clearly thinks he’s running a reality show instead of a legal firm. More interested in who you’re dating than the actual work you're doing. Yes—you heard that right. He genuinely believes “women have it easy” and that “men do the real work.” Charming, right? Sexism is alive and thriving at the top here. As for HR—they’re honestly just set dressing. Their job description might as well read: “Gossip, shop online, and do absolutely nothing about employee issues.” Need a leave? Be ready to beg like you’re asking for a favor, not a basic right. Got the flu? Take a Dolo and get to work. Chickenpox outbreak in the office? Shhh, let’s just pretend it didn’t happen. Oh, and if the entire city is underwater, they’ll still expect you to magically teleport to the office. This place is unsafe, unprofessional, and deeply disrespectful—especially towards women. If you care about your dignity, career, or mental health, run in the opposite direction. And if you have a daughter? Don’t even think about letting her step foot in this place.
