Pros

You get hands on experience with all areas of the matters you provide support on. Most firms of this size have additional support teams, however, as a paralegal you’re a completely unsupported one man show. This means you learn how to do everything yourself which is helpful experience to take to your next firm.

Cons

Very high billing requirement with low compensation. Low support/firm infrastructure, particularly given our fully remote format. Poor work culture with bullying and harassment being permissible by though with higher titles.

Pros

Respected firm, objective bonus is nice on top of discretionary bonuses.

Cons

Lots of bureaucracy and the help that's promised is rarely actually available.

Pros

The Minneapolis office is a growing office with great opportunities for associates to get hands on involvement with depositions, motion practice and trials. I found my supervising partner to be a great mentor and person. She cared about me as a person and lawyer. I loved my time at Gordon Rees, but left for increased compensation.

Cons

Less than market pay. Senior associate laterals who were cliquey and sophomoric.
