Gompers Private School is a part of the Gompers Adult facility. That is a problem as senior management have no idea how to run a school. The executive director is never at work and collects a paycheck well over 130 K (public record) a year. Regarding the position of director of special education, is not a director position. This position is a secretarial job. You are not given the authority to request more staff, implement new and creative ways to make the school prosper. Although you will stay very busy giving tours and trying to convince a public school district you are worthy of housing their students. The biggest problem is that you cannot keep front line staff at Gompers school or dta. Paying staff under $10 an hour is insulting to anyone's intelligence for the expectations. Gompers Private School only keeps their directors for 1 year, that is about all any one with appropriate education and experience will stay. If you like to be micro managed and asked to have your students mingle with the adults (against the law), and have absolutely no authority to make change then this may be a good fit for you.
