Started out pretty good but the facade outside the company doesn't match what is under the surface - Anonymous Golden Hour Data Systems Employee Review

The company management and culture is very insular. The management is not very receptive to any suggestions if it doesn't come from the management. There is also a company culture that isn't very interested in change, the view being that if something wasn't done differently before, why should it be done differently now? This leads to a reactive mindset rather than a proactive one. Also there is a tendency to not take responsibility for failures on the management part. External forces would be used as excuses and an oft cited line was "how could we have known..." The pay and benefits at the company are very lacking. Every year, the contribution needed by the employees toward thing such as healthcare would increase with an acceleration of this cost most recently. Also from a merit increase standpoint, the company would cite various reasons as to not increase... most oft cited reason, the economy is not doing well... although it seemed that they were more than willing to give salary increases when someone threatened to quit. This simply showed a lack of appreciation on the company's management's part towards its employees and the reactive nature of the management.
