You have to beg and plead if you need to work from home on a bad weather day or have a doctors appointment even after spending 5 years in the company and have proved that you are dependable. They think people don't work unless they are constantly monitored. The senior management has no diversity and is full of 60 year old white males. Since the work life balance is so poor it is not surprising that only such people with no responsibilities at home progress. This is a place to pick up a skill and move out not a place to work long term.
