Pros
Talented and experienced entry to mid level staff. Few perks, occasional travel and company outings. Great job for those who love to sit for 12 hours surfing the internet and chatting on the phone.
Cons
The critical and negative feedback posted on this site is spot on. Family owned and operated regime, grossly out of touch with reality and incapable of conducting business in an ethical and honest manner. Greedy, greedy, greedy. Company will threaten and/or pursue litigation of former employees who quit prematurely once they discover what a scan Global Rescue is. Also threatens legal action against former members and websites who have posted negative reviews online. Refusal of mid to senior level management to acknowledge mistakes and learn from them. Every shortcoming is blamed on the vendor, client or employee. Medical direction is inexperienced in the realm of remote and travel medicine and willing to sacrifice integrity and the oath to serve objectively to please the masters. Mid management refuses to question decisions made above their position, makes excuses for poor performance of operational cases resulting from a failure of adequate leadership from the top down. Places the value of a profit over the safety and wellbeing of their members, corporate clients and employees. Culture of deception and distrust, very secretive and misleading. The product is well packaged, however more often than not, the company fails to live up to contractual obligations. Encourages operations staff to Google members in need to determine how "influential" they may be and whether they are likely to pursue legal action against the company for screwing them over. Every request for assistance by members is scrutinized in an attempt to disqualify member from service and financial responsibility. The "planning" of a members evacuation is largely dependent upon open source resources found on internet search engines. Anyone with laptop and internet connection can operate a similar business, with no particular expertise of international rescue and evacuation. Misleading marketing of the product. The company fails to adhere to reimbursement for employee relocations, after the promise to compensate. The job they sell you on, is in fact, completely the opposite of what you will be actually doing. Refusal to address the ridiculously high turnover rates of employees in all departments. Willing to compromise the health and safety of their members for a slim profit margin. If you are silly or desperate enough to work for these charlatans, carefully review the employment contract before signing it.
