My experience with APAC HR has been frustrating. While I appreciate the company’s goals and values, the HR practices often feel incompatible with the company's values.
Outdated Practices
The HR processes here come off as quite old school. There seems to be a reluctance to adapt to newer, more flexible approaches that many companies are embracing today. This makes it challenging for employees who want to bring fresh ideas to the table.
Narrow-Minded Approach
I’ve also encountered a narrow-minded perspective when it comes to addressing issues. Instead of fostering an open dialogue, there’s a tendency to focus on pinpointing mistakes. This can create an environment where employees feel hesitant to voice their thoughts or ask questions, fearing they’ll be met with criticism instead of support.
Reactivity and Unprofessionalism
Another significant concern has been the overreactions to minor issues. It often feels like the HR team jumps to conclusions without fully understanding the context, which can come across as unprofessional. This abruptness, coupled with occasional rudeness, makes it difficult to approach HR with concerns or suggestions.
