Pros
-Most staff are lovely and amazing to work with with a lot of experience and knowledge- unfortunately this isn't appreciated by the company -Learned a lot -Communal milk provided
Cons
- Not a lot of progression, assistants are kept at assistant level and made to feel not good enough despite being asked to do more than the job description asks for. - Don't expect a raise or any increase in salary- they expect you to go above and beyond for the bare minimum - 'HR' is non existent and consists of one of the owners of the company which is a HUGE conflict of interest - don't offer any support or discretion . -Staff are expected to sit in an office that has no personality and is bare and depressing. -No space to each lunch or have a break away from your desk or a private conversation. -Staff morale is heavily discouraged so the office space is quiet and there's no sense of a 'team'. -Owners have very outdated and toxic views -Management in certain departments can be very controlling which creates a toxic environment. A big issue with 'micromanagement' and a lack of trust between manager and its team. - No work life balance- expect you work over time for free and don't trust staff to work from home / hybrid work - Different rules for different departments / people. Some people can work 'flexi time' but others cant with no explanation as to why which causes an unfair balance in the company. -Forced to use holidays for GP appointments despite showing relevant evidence and giving enough notice.
